Project Description

Established over 150 years ago in 1860, and owned by the Purbrick family, Tahbilk is one of Australia’s most beautiful and historic wineries, located in the Nagambie Lakes region of central Victoria (120 km north of Melbourne).

Two hundred hectares of vineyards growing on rich and fertile river flats produce French Rhône Valley whites of Marsanne, Viognier and Rosanne.
The Rhône reds are Shiraz, Grenache and Mourvedre, as well as traditional varieties, which include Chardonnay, Riesling and Cabernet.

Tahbilk’s award winning wines include the ‘exceptional’ Langton’s listed ‘1860 Shiraz’ made from vines planted over 150 years ago. These are the oldest vines in the world used for commercial wine production.
